« Odyssée Cezanne Symposium” September 25th and 26th
Aix-en-Provence, Jas de Bouffan
The two-days « Odyssée Cezanne » symposium, led by Denis Coutagne, President of Paul Cezanne Society, officially launched and established the Cezanne Research and Documentation Center (CCRD) at the historic Farm du Jas de Bouffan.
The Cezanne online catalogue raisonné, under the responsibility of Paul Cezanne Society since 2023, will also be managed from the Farm.
The CCRD will serve as a dynamic space for research and documentation, with over 50 000 references. It will become the place where the catalogue raisonné and Cezanne’s legacy will be kept active and alive. Actual Cezanne’s curators and scholars, already members of the Société, will be joined by researchers and students to explore and preserve, under the leadership of the Paul Cezanne Society, Cezanne’s work for future generations.
As a result, the town of Aix-en-Provence, where Cezanne spent most of his life and painted most of his pictures, is becoming the worldwide, recognized center for Cezanne studies.
The goal to reach is at least 150 000$.
U.S.-based donors can make tax-deductible contributions, because the American Friends of the Paul Cezanne Society is hosted by Myriad USA, a public charity, within the meaning of Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the IRC, donors may claim the maximum tax benefits allowed by U.S. tax law for their contributions.
Your contribution to “Odyssée Cezanne Symposium” will support essential initiatives such as the preservation of Cezanne’s archives, the expansion of the catalogue raisonné, and the development of educational programs that engage the next generation of Cézanne scholars at the Ferme du Jas de Bouffan.
